The Oregon-California Resource Conservation and Development Council (Ore-Cal) is a regional, not for profit group established to address local resource needs and assist local leaders conserve natural resources, improve the environment and enhance economic opportunities within regional boundaries. The Ore-Cal program is federally assisted, through the United States Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Conservation Service, and provides technical and financial assistance to implement resource based community projects.

An Area Plan guides the Council. The Plan is developed with public participation and in cooperation with local citizens, communities, public and private organizations, city, county, state and federal agencies.

The 2010-2014 Area Plan has been developed and adopted by Ore-Cal as the basis for future business planning and for implementation of goals, objectives and projects identified for completion during the period between 2010 and 2014.



ORE-CAL OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW

Ore-Cal has a multi-state, multi-county service area that includes Klamath and Lake Counties in Oregon, Siskiyou and the western portions of Modoc and Shasta Counties, in California. The Ore-Cal Council was formed in 1991 and was incorporated in Oregon and California in 1994 as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt, fully tax deductible not for profit organization.
